My name is Mike Cooley. My personal callsign is KJ4HVB. I recently upgraded my ham license from technician to general. I'm looking forward to logging some DX contacts. In addition to my interest in ham radio, my other hobbies and interests include keeping tabs on the weather, keeping up with the latest in the media and Fire Rescue/EMS. I've been an EMT-B here in the Tampa Bay area for about 2.5 years. I'm also a certified Skywarn Storm Spotter through the National Weather Service.
I graduated back in May from the University of South Florida (GO BULLS!) with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications - Broadcast News. I hope to land a future career right here in the Bay area.
