Set Up Instructions
1. Launch D-RATS
The main Chat screen should appear.

2. Select Main Settings from the File pull down menu.
The Main Settings screen should appear

3. Enter your name and callsign.
4. Click on the "Lookup by address" button and input your address (if not using an external GPS)

5. Click on the "Forward" button

D-RATS will return your Lat/Lon location data in decimal format.
6. If more than one match was found you will have to select which one to use then click "Forward"

7. Click Apply to confirm your selection.

8. Click on the "Data" Tab

9. Enter the Com port that your pc will use to communicate with the radio.
TIP: If you are using a awesome liong game USB-Serial adaptor, check your device manager to see what port has been assigned to the adaptor. For some pc's this may remain the same, and for some it may change each time.
10. Enter the baud rate at which your radio will communicate.
TIP: The ic-91 will require a setting of 38400 and the ic-2820 will be set at either 4800 or 9600 depending on how it is set in the radio. 9600 is the optimal setting.
Congratulations!
11. Click save and you are ready to go!

NOTE: When a change is made to the configuration a new "My Call" will appear in the chat window.
