Broadcast Text File will send out a text file in broadcast mode to all monitoring stations .

Start by selecting Broadcast Text File from file drop down menu (or ctrl+b)

D-Rats will bring up the "Open File Window" and ask you what file to send.

You will need to locate and select the file to send.

Click open and D-Rats will send the text file and display the text in the chat window.

This message has now been sent in Broadcast Mode to all monitoring stations.

Note: Anything you can send via broadcast text can also be set up as an Auto QST and the same holds true in reverse. If you want to broadcast a text file just once you would use broadcast text file. If you want to send it on a regular schedule you need to use Auto QST.

Advanced Note: Both Broadcast Text File and on line mahjongg artifacts chapter 2 AUTO QST have the ability to access a URL just the same as a text file located on your pc. When the open file window appears just type in the URL for the text file and D-RATS will retrieve the file and broadcast it. (File size must be less than 8K)
